Five Men on Bikes is a group of friends in our late 50s/early 60s who all reside in Wellington’s Eastern Suburbs. Faced with “empty nests” we have taken up recreational cycling for general health and enjoyment, and regularly ride together around the beautiful Miramar Peninsula in Wellington.

Approximately twice a year we also undertake longer weekend rides, selecting from the locations on New Zealand’s rapidly expanding national cycle trails. The emphaisis on these trips is very much on what Dale tagged “bycling” – cycling sedately between refreshment stops.
